Plantiful Life (“we,” “our,” or “us”) operates the Is It Vegan? mobile application (the “App”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use our App.
Information We Collect
Is It Vegan? is designed with your privacy in mind. We do not require account creation, login, or any personal information to use the App.
The only data we collect is anonymous analytics data to help us ensure the App is functioning properly and to improve the user experience. This may include:
- App performance metrics (crash reports, load times)
- General usage statistics (feature usage, session duration)
- Device type and operating system version
- Anonymous, aggregated interaction data
This data is collected in aggregate and cannot be used to identify you personally.

Barcode Scanning
The App uses your device’s camera to scan product barcodes. All barcode scanning and image processing occurs locally on your device. Scanned barcodes are used solely to look up product information from third-party databases (such as Open Food Facts) and are not stored on our servers or associated with any personal data.
Scan History
Your scan history is stored locally on your device only. We do not have access to your scan history, and it is not transmitted to any server. You can clear your scan history at any time from within the App.
Third-Party Services
The App may use the following third-party services:
- Open Food Facts — An open-source product database used to retrieve product and ingredient information. When you scan a barcode, a request is made to their API with the barcode number only. Please review their privacy policy at openfoodfacts.org/privacy.
- Apple Analytics — We may use Apple’s built-in analytics tools to collect anonymous crash and performance data to improve App stability.
Data Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your information to third parties. Since we do not collect personal data, there is nothing to share.
Children’s Privacy
The App does not knowingly collect any personal information from children under the age of 13. Since we do not collect personal data from any users, the App is safe for use by individuals of all ages.
Data Security
Since we do not collect or store personal data, there is minimal risk to your privacy. The anonymous analytics data we do collect is handled through industry-standard secure practices.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
