We’ve been quietly building something we’re pretty excited about. It’s called Plantiful Runner, and it’s a running coach built from the ground up for plant-based athletes.
The gap we kept running into
Most running apps treat nutrition as an afterthought — a generic “eat more protein” tile bolted onto a training calendar. And most of the coaches who do talk nutrition assume you’re eating animal products. If you’re a runner who’s gone plant-based (or is curious about it), you’ve probably hit the same wall we did: you’re stitching together a training plan from one app, recipes from another, and trying to figure out on your own whether your easy Tuesday actually needs that extra carb-heavy dinner.
We thought: what if all of that lived in one place, and the coach actually understood how plant-based fueling works?
What Plantiful Runner is


Plantiful Runner is your personal running coach. It builds your weekly training plan around your goal — whether that’s your first 5K, your fifth marathon, or just want to increase your fitness — it adjusts based on how your runs actually went, and pairs every week with plant-based fueling guidance that lines up with your training load.
A few things we’re building in for launch:
- Smart weekly plans that adapt based on your pace, mileage, and how recovered you’re feeling
- Daily check-ins so the plan stays honest — if you smashed a tempo run or barely made it out the door, your coach knows
- Plant-based fueling – making sure you’re hitting your macro and micro nutrient requirements based on how your training is going
- HealthKit integration so your runs sync automatically, no manual logging
- Goals from 5K to marathon, with proper periodization, not just a generic mileage ramp
It’s iOS first, with a companion web experience for planning and reviewing your training on a bigger screen.
Why we’re building it
The Plantiful Life brand has always been about making plant-based living easier and more practical. PlantifulMeal handles the kitchen side. Is It Vegan? handles the grocery aisle. Plantiful Runner is the natural next piece — for the part of your life that happens between training runs, when you’re trying to figure out what to eat, when to rest, and whether you’re actually getting closer to your goal.
We’re not trying to be everything to every runner. We’re building the coach we wished existed when we were figuring this stuff out ourselves.
